PUMPKINS IN A ROW - SETUP & DIRECTIONS

Short Carnival Savers video/gif shows four large pumpkins arranged in a row with large hoops being tossed over them.

Supplies for Pumpkin Ring Toss:

5 "Carving Sized" Pumpkins
5 - 10 Large Plastic Rings (sold below)
2 Bales of Hay - (sold below) one for the stand-behind line, the other for the 5th (last) Pumpkin
Other Fall Decorations, such as fall flowers or leaves (optional)
Ticket Box and Game Sign
5 Different Carnival Prizes – 1 Corresponding to Each Pumpkin

Festival Game Setup:

Before your festival, set your pumpkins in a row, as shown in our pictures. You can set them up in a parking lot, in a grassy field or even indoors -this game is very versatile.

Place the pumpkins in a row, with the first one six or so inches behind the bale of hay. Allow enough room in between the pumpkins for a small hula hoop to lay flat on the ground in between each pumpkin. Our pumpkins have about 18 - 24 inches of space between each pumpkin.

How to Play the Pumpkins In a Row Game:

Festival players are given five small hula hoops to try to ring as many pumpkins as possible. You can pass out prizes based on how many pumpkins your harvest festival players ring.

Each pumpkin corresponds to a different prize. We recommend having 2 "consolation" type prizes that correspond to pumpkins 1 and 2 as both of those are easy to ring.

For example, if they ring no pumpkins, they receive a consolation prize. If they ring 1 - 2 pumpkins, they receive a medium prize and if they ring three pumpkins, they receive a top prize!

Like all our festival and carnival games, we recommend that you try it out for difficulty before your big event starts! If the game is too easy, you can move your lines farther back; if the game is too hard, move your lines closer.

Additional Hints & Tips:

This is a must-have for your Fall Festival! Super easy to set up and fun to play for ages 2 - 92! This game can also be almost free... talk to your local grocery store (or a local farmer) and ask if they have some pumpkins that are not likely to be sold because they are lopsided or have a split - you will be happy to take them off.
