SANTA'S HAT RING TOSS - SETUP & DIRECTIONS

(Short Carnival Savers video/gif shows Santa hats placed in a circle and hoops being tossed.)

Supplies for Santa's Hat Ring Toss:

5 Santa's Hats
5 Plastic Cones (see below) to keep the hats from falling over
7 or 8-inch, lightweight plastic or wooden hoops for tossing
"Stand behind" lines - either a cone, a sign (as shown), or if outside, sidewalk chalk
Holiday-themed carnival prizes - top, medium, and consolation prizes

Game Set Up:

Before your carnival, set up the Santa's Hats on the cones or stuff. You can also use stiff paper crumpled and stuffed inside each hat so they are ready for the game.

If this game is used for different age groups, having a few other "stand behind" lines is a good idea to make the game fair for the younger kids.

How to Play the Santa's Hat Ring Toss Carnival Game:

Players are given three rings for a chance to ring as many Santa's Hats as Possible!

Winnings can work like this:

0-1 rings on Santa's Hats = consolation prize
2 rings on Santa's Hats = medium prize
3 rings on Santa's Hats = top prize

Additional Hints & Tips:

Remember: We recommend that if you have different-aged children playing this game, you have other "stand behind" lines so the younger children have as good of a chance to win as you older, taller kids!
